Socials

Some say that social media is deadly, taking us away from honest face-to-face relationships. They may be right. And if that is you, please get away from the computer and join a local club. Go for a walk. Grab your guitar or sit by the piano and sing with a friend.

Below are six of my favves I use with great frequency. Click the image to go to my own site. Then go for that walk with a mate.

What is Facebook?

If it's just a place to stalk people whom you used to know and wish you had a real life like they do... then walk away from the computer now. If however, you know me and want to see what I'm up to, then, by all means, let's stay in touch there. I'd like that.

Twitter became X

I'm not a fan of Elon Musk, and honestly cannot ride in a Tesla Uber without a bit of regret. Even so, using the 140 character X platform is a fun way for me to share a quick thought on any random day, and maybe we should discuss things there also?

Tik Tok is not only for kids

What started as a showcase of people dancing in front of their video camera is now a larger than life place of sharing videos about all kinds of matters, some of which are actually significant. I've even been known to use this platform. Imagine!

Flickr: A lifetime of photos

Seems like I've had a camera with me since I was a kid, whether a Brownie or a DSLR and everything in between. I love to chronicle life as it happens and see what it can say to me in the future. I have albums of countries, of events, of famous people and of random folks. As of 2025, over 80,000 pictures and videos.

It's the Blog: Random Thoughts

Some people think I have something to say about situations of life and they follow my postings on Blogger.. I'm honoured and hopeful that this will continue in this season and throughout 2026 and well byond. . In the blog we cover a wide range of topics from human situations and religion to songs of the 60s and life in Australia. You never know.

Read a book: Goodreads

I wasn't a very good reader as a young boy, preferring to play sport than to sit around lazily. Oh, and of ccourse there was television with Howdy Doody, Bonanza, Andy Griffith, and My Favorite Martian. But turning into an adult helped me want to learn more and the best way I found to do this was reading. Probably the Bible was my first deep read since Ayn Rand in the 1960s, and I keep it up now. Goodreads is the platform I use to write reviews AND to keep track of books I've read or want to read. Feel free to share your comments there also.
